How to use CapCut 18.5.0 without any VPN?
Important changes and features in 18.5.0 update?
- No VPN needed: This is most important. The previous update was lacking this. Do normal editing without turning on a VPN.

Process to use Capcut Pro 18.5.0 without VPN and crash?
We suggest you to do a clean install.
- First, uninstall any old CapCut app from your phone. This helps to avoid installation errors.
- Download the new 18.5.0 Ultra APK file. Install it.
- If you just want to do normal editing, open the app directly. No VPN or login is needed to edit or use templates.
If you see a “No Internet” or “Too many people” error when you first open the app, just close the app. Restart it once or twice. It will fix itself.

We tested this version on my elder cousin brother’s Galaxy S25 Ultra. On his Samsung mobile (running One UI 8.5), rendering heavy 4K videos at 60fps was super fast. The Snapdragon processor handled the all layers load easily. The phone did get a little warm and the battery drained a bit quicker during our long editing session. That is pretty normal for heavy video editing as usual.
During this testing, I used premium features like AI body effects and multi-track chroma keying. They loaded in the editng timeline instantly. No lags. I faced one small issue where exporting a high-bitrate clip. It froze at 99%. If this happens to you, just clear the app cache and try again. It worked fine on the second try.
